Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Episode 8 Summary

The last time we saw Yhwach, he had awoken from his sleep and expressed a wish for the end of the world in the Bleach: The Young and the Brave episode before this one. After Kenpachi Zaraki’s fight with Gremmy Thoumeaux, he sent his crew on a quest to find Yachiru since he couldn’t find her anywhere on the battlefield. However, Zaraki and his men were ambushed and killed by the Quincy sisters (also known as the Bambi sisters).

When Candice Catnipp and the others came, Zaraki was already unconscious and laying on the ground. However, Ichigo Kurosaki miraculously appeared and saved Zaraki from certain death.

In this episode, Ichigo showed off his improved skills as a soul reaper by defeating four Quincy women single-handedly. He also showed off his unique form of Getsuga, called Getsuga Jujisho, against Candice Catnipp, the Sternrtter T for Thunder.

Meanwhile, the barrier between the Royal Palace and the Soul Society was broken when Ichigo reappeared. Because of this, Yhwach was able to enter the Royal Palace, where the Soul King resides. Ichigo was surprised to see Uryu Ishida, another one of his friends, standing with Yhwach and Jugram.

Uryu was at a loss to answer the frustrated man’s probing inquiry about the inspiration for his treason. In order to save Ichigo from Uryu’s arrows, Orihime and Chad boarded the Seireitei. As the episode drew to a conclusion, the deuteragonist, accompanied by Yhwach and Jugram, made progress toward the Royal Palace.
